Neonatal sepsis is a major problem throughout the world. Early detection of neonatal difficult because first signs this disease may be minimal, especially in preterm infants. The clinical are similar to those non-infectious processes. Definitive blood culture results not being immediately available prove detrimental. As result, many babies evaluated and treated for presumed with parenteral antibiotics while awaiting microbial isolation.
